OnePlus 7 and 7 Pro do not come with USB-C headphone jack adapters

OnePlus launched its newest smartphones today: the OnePlus 7 and the OnePlus 7 Pro. As expected, neither device has a headphone jack, which is — once again — a significant omission for the company with the motto of “Never Settle.”

We can confirm that neither device will have a USB-C-to-3.5mm dongle in the retail box, either.

The previous device from OnePlus — the OnePlus 6T — was the first phone from the company without a headphone jack. To soften the blow of that port’s removal, the company included a headphone dongle with the phone, which at least made it easier for buyers to continue using their “legacy” audio gear.

However, the newest devices from the company don’t include this dongle. That means buyers will need to buy a dongle separately, either from OnePlus or a third-party company. Conversely, they could buy USB-C headphones or — of course — buy a pair of Bluetooth headphones, such as the OnePlus Bullets Wireless 2, which also launched today.

In case you are curious, this is what is included with the purchase of a OnePlus 7 or 7 Pro:
