Asus unveiled a slew of new devices at Computex 2019 in Taiwan. These include new laptops that sport not one but two displays, a few special edition products as part of the company’s 30th anniversary, and even a portable display aimed at gamers. Here’s a roundup of the best ones you should know about.

ZenBook Pro Duo and ZenBook Duo

The ZenBook Pro Duo and ZenBook Duo are the most interesting products Asus unveiled at Computex. What makes the two laptops special is the ScreenPad Plus technology, which is basically a secondary display with a 32:9 aspect ratio that’s located above the keyboard. You can drag apps, toolbars, or menus onto this display to reduce clutter on the main screen, use it as a control pad for creating music, and much more. It’s also great for creative work, especially when paired with the stylus that comes included in the box.

When it comes to specs, the Pro model offers more. It comes with a 15.6-inch 4K OLED display, a 9th generation Intel Core CPU (up to Intel Core i9), and the gaming-grade GeForce RTX 2060 GPU. You can also get it with as much as 32GB of RAM and 1TB of SSD storage.

The Zenbook Duo is lighter and smaller than the Pro model, sporting a 14-inch display with a lower, Full HD resolution. It also packs less power, packing an Intel Core i7 processor under the hood along with GeForce MX250 graphics. The secondary ScreenPad Plus display is also a bit smaller, coming in at 12.6 inches.

Asus ZenBook laptops and ZenBook Edition 30

The Asus ZenBook 13, 14, and 15 laptops all feature ScreenPad 2.0, which is a 5.65-inch secondary display that replaces the traditional touchpad found on laptops. Its goal is to improve multitasking and productivity, offering features like “Quick Key” that enables one-tap automation of complex keyboard sequences, and “Number Key” that allows for rapid data entry. Developers can now optimize their software specifically for the ScreenPad, meaning its usefulness will increase as time goes on.

All three laptops run Windows 10 and feature 8th generation Intel Core processors (up to Intel Core i7), 16GB of RAM, and 1TB of SSD storage. The largest 15.6-inch ZenBook offers the most of the thee, offering an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 Max-Q GPU and a choice of either a Full HD or 4K display. It also has the largest battery, which promises up to 17 hours of usage. On the other hand, the ZenBook 13 and 14 have the Nvidia GeForce MX250 GPU under the hood and feature Full HD displays. Their batteries are rated for up to 14 hours of use.

The ZenBook Edition 30 has an Italian leather lid cover and comes with a set of luxury accessories.

In addition to these three devices, Asus also announced the ZenBook Edition 30. It’s a limited-edition laptop made in honor of Asus’ 30th anniversary. It has a luxurious feel to it thanks to the Italian leather lid cover and a set of accessories that come with it: a Pearl White mouse, a leather-like box and mouse pad, and a genuine-leather sleeve. It also sports an 18-karat rose gold plated logo.

Specs-wise, you get a 13.3-inch Full HD display, Intel’s 8th generation Core i5 or i7 processor, up to 16GB of RAM, and as much a 1TB of SSD storage. The battery should be good for up to 14 hours of use. Oh, and same as the other three laptops, the ZenBook Edition 30 comes with the secondary ScreenPad 2.0 display.

Asus VivoBook S14 and S15

There are a couple of things that make these two laptops stand out. The first is that they feature the ScreenPad 2.0 secondary display — just like the ZenBook laptops — that replaces the traditional touchpad and is designed to improve multitasking and productivity. Then there’s the design: both devices sport a metal chassis that comes in a number of eye-catching colors, including Moss Green, Punk Pink, and Cobalt Blue. They also sport what Asus calls a NanoEdge display, which features thin bezels for a high 88 percent screen-to-body-ratio. The last thing worth mentioning is the ErgoLift hinge, which tilts the keyboard up to 3.5 degrees for a more comfortable typing experience

Powered by Windows 10, these two laptops come with up to Intel Core i7 processors and the Nvidia GeForce MX250 GPU. You can get either with as much as 16GB of RAM and 1TB of SSD storage. The biggest difference between the two is their display size, as suggested by their names. The smaller model sports a 14-inch display, while the one on the VivoBook S15 comes in at 15.6 inches. Both offer Full HD resolution.

The Asus VivoBook S14 and S15 will be available from mid-June. Pricing will be announced closer to launch. We’ll update this post as soon as we know more.
