Although AMD is getting close to catching up, Nvidia still remains the king of computer gaming graphics. If you’re looking to get the most out of your Nvidia-based gaming rig, pairing it with a G-Sync compatible monitor is certainly a good move. If you really want the absolute best experience, then you’ll strongly want to consider a G-Sync plus monitor.
At Computex 2019 we visited Nvidia’s Taipei headquarters and got a look at some of the hottest new G-Sync Ultimate monitors heading to the market. For those that don’t know, G-Sync Ultimate is the top line on the G-Sync totem. G- Sync Ultimate monitors essentially exceed the G-Sync standard and the branding is Nvidia’s way of showcasing products it thinks are the best of the best.

Acer 4K-144Hz Mini LED G-Sync Ultimate
The new Acer 4K 144Hz Mini LED is one of two mini-LED monitors that Nvidia showcased at their booth, the other being from ROG. Mini-LED technology basically features shrunk down lights that allow for more LEDs per display, giving improved brightness and illumination of the picture. This improved illumination was evident when looking at the sun in a game demo on screen, which featured the sun shining brightly in a way that was much more realistic than another standard LED monitor that showed the same scene.
The Acer 4K 144Hz Mini LED monitor features a 27-inch 4K 144Hz display, HDR 10 support, 1,000 nit brightness, DCI-P3 color, a 50,000:1 contrast ratio, and a 576-zone LED controllable backlight. We don’t know all the specifics just yet, but this certainly looks like an impressive monitor.
Acer Predator X35 G-Sync Ultimate
The Acer Predator X35 G-Sync Ultimate is finally on its way. This monitor features a 35-inch display, 21:9 ratio, 1800R curvature, and an AU Optronics panel type. There’s also a 512-zone direct backlight, 1000 nits, and HDR support.
Asus ROG Swift PG27UQX G-Sync Ultimate
The second mini-LED monitor that Nvidia had to show off was the Asus ROG Swift PG27UQX. As previously mentioned, mini-LEDs allow for improved brightness and illumination. The ROG Swift PG27UQX has a lot of the same specs as the Acer mini-LED monitor and is the same size, coming in at 27-inches. The monitor has a resolution of 4K, 576 dimming zones, 144Hz refresh rate, HDR support, 1,000 nit brightness, and wide DCI-P3 97% and Adobe RGB 99% color gamut.
One interesting extra found on the Swift is the new smart fan control, letting gamers adjust fan speeds directly from the display. There’s also several connectivity options including a display port (v1.4), HDMI (v2.0) USB 3.0 (upstreamx1, downstreamx2), and a 3.5 mm earphone jack.
Asus ROG Swift PG35VQ G-Sync Ultimate
The Asus ROG Swift PG35VQ G-Sync was previously announced but is now almost here. The monitor features a 35-inch 4K display, a 200Hz refresh rate, a curved design, and a 512 zone direct backlight.
So when are these monitors coming?
Being the best is one thing, but when can you expect to get your hands on them and for how much? While NVIDIA’s rep said nothing about price other than “they are expensive”, it was mentioned that at least some of these models will start shipping in June. We’ll be sure to update this post as we learn more specifics on pricing, release date, and model specs.
