While most can get by with a single SIM handset, there’s something to be said about the flexibility that comes with a dual-SIM device. A dual SIM setup lets you have two different phone numbers, while also letting you use one SIM for data and another for calls/texts. We’ve rounded up a list of the best dual SIM Android phones currently available on the market. Do be warned that some networks and markets might only offer a single SIM version of the phone listed here, so you should ask your local service provider or retailer before splashing out cash.

1. Huawei P30 Pro

The Huawei P30 Pro is one of the best phones around. Its great design, powerful specs, and leading-class camera give it plenty to love. The P30 Pro features four cameras on the back — a primary 40MP one with an f/1.6 aperture; an ultra-wide 20MP with an f/2.2 aperture, an 8MP 125mm telephoto lens , and a ToF camera.

It’s blazing fast, has great battery life, and some of the best cameras you can get on any smartphone. That said, it isn’t easy to get your hands on it if you’re in the U.S., as the phone was not officially released in the country. Don’t expect to see it in the country in the near future owing to the U.S. trade ban.

The Huawei P30 Pro utilizes a hybrid SIM system, in which you can choose to use one as a memory card slot. It uses Huawei’s proprietary nano memory technology, so don’t go buying a microSD card!

2. OnePlus 7 Pro

The OnePlus 7 Pro is the most expensive phone to come from the Chinese brand, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t a great deal. This phone starts at $669 and competes with $1,000 handsets.

Its specs make it a powerhouse, including elements like a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor, 6/8/12GB of RAM, a 4,000mAh battery, and a 6.67-inch 90Hz AMOLED display with a 3,120 x 1,440 QHD+ resolution.

The notch has disappeared, making this a true all-screen experience. OnePlus has gone with an elevating front-facing camera mechanism, instead.

OnePlus has never been known for making impressive cameras and, unfortunately, that remains the case with the 7 Pro. The photos it produces aren’t bad, and in good light, it can snag some nice shots, but if the light drops even a little bit the images end up washed out and muddy.

3. Samsung Galaxy Note 9

The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 was one of the most anticipated releases of last year. It shares much of its design language with its predecessor, but more refined design elements like better fingerprint scanner placement and a smaller camera visor give the Galaxy Note 9 the edge.

There’s no risk of compromise in terms of hardware as far as the Galaxy Note 9 is concerned. You get the Snapdragon 845 processor onboard, backed by 6GB or 8GB of RAM. Up to 512GB of built-in storage is a power users dream, and keeping everything running is a 4,000mAh battery. The Galaxy Note 9 also features one of the best smartphone displays around, with numbers to back that up.

The dual SIM (dual standby) version of the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is only available in certain markets and is limited to the Exynos model. If you want to have the Snapdragon 845 version with dual SIM, your only option is to import the device from China. The dual SIM version is also of the hybrid slot variety where the second SIM slot also serves as the microSD card slot. So users have to make the choice between expandable storage and dual SIM capabilities.

4. Samsung Galaxy S10 series

The Samsung Galaxy S10 series features three models: the S10, S10 Plus, and S10e. The S10 would be the standard version, while the S10 Plus is for those who want a larger device, and the S10e is the affordable version of Samsung’s latest phones.

All three Samsung Galaxy S10 handsets are available in dual SIM configurations, but it’s hard to get in the U.S. though. You will need to buy the phone outright and unlocked in order to enjoy dual SIM features.
Regardless, it’s nice to know you can get Samsung’s flagship devices with dual SIM capabilities. These phones are extremely popular and will likely accomplish the most sales on this list.

5. Xiaomi Mi 9

Those who want a flagship smartphone at a fair price can’t go wrong with the Xiaomi Mi 9. No longer do you need to pay $1,000 to get the latest tech in your phone. Instead, Xiaomi gives it to you for as low as 499 euros.
Specs include a 6.39-inch AMOLED display with a 2,340 x 1,080 resolution, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor, 6/8/12GB of RAM, and a 3,300mAh battery. Xiaomi’s phone also offers a triple rear camera setup, delivering a 48MP primary sensor, 16MP ultra-wide camera, and 12MP telephoto shooter. Selfies are handled by a 20MP snapper in a waterdrop notch.

Unless there’s something missing that you just can’t live without — like a headphone jack, higher resolution, or a bigger battery — then it is a hearty recommendation. If you really want a device that can turn heads, go for the transparent model. It’s also worth noting that you’re not getting a microSD card slot here, but you do get two SIM slots nonetheless.

6. Xiaomi Mi 9T

Xiaomi launched the Redmi K20 series in China, and the standard model is available in Europe as the Xiaomi Mi 9T. Coming in at roughly $350, you’re getting an upper mid-range Snapdragon 730 processor, 6GB of RAM, and 64GB or 128GB of (fixed) storage.

The Mi 9T also stands out thanks to its full-screen AMOLED display (6.39 inches, full HD+), as Xiaomi uses a 20MP pop-up selfie camera. Look around the back and you’ll see a triple rear camera system, offering a 48MP main shooter, 13MP ultra-wide snapper, and an 8MP 2x telephoto camera.

Other notable specs include a 4,000mAh battery, in-display fingerprint sensor, 3.5mm port, NFC, USB-C, and dual nano SIM slots (the Mi 9T doesn’t support microSD expansion). Need something with a little more power though? Then Indian users can purchase the Redmi K20 Pro, which differs by including a Snapdragon 855 processor and 27 watt charging.

7. Asus Zenfone 6

The Zenfone 6 fits the bill for an affordable flagship smartphone in 2019, including a Snapdragon 855 chipset, 6GB to 8GB of RAM, and 64GB or 256GB of expandable storage. Toss in a 5,000mAh battery with 18-watt charging and you’ve got a powerful, long-lasting phone in theory for just $499.

But the Asus device also stands out from others on the list thanks to its flipping camera setup, as the dual rear cameras rotate on a motorized swivel to serve as your selfie snappers. You’re looking at a 48MP main camera and a 13MP ultra-wide shooter, giving you the choice between detailed selfies and wide group/landscape selfies.

Interestingly enough, the Asus Zenfone 6’s motorized flipping mechanism is also used for panoramas, allowing you to get wide shots without having to move the phone. Heck, the mechanism can even rotate automatically for object tracking.

Thankfully, the phone supports dual SIMs with a dedicated microSD slot too, so you don’t need to choose between more storage and an extra SIM.

8. Honor 20 series

Honor released the View 20 earlier this year, but the company hasn’t wasted any time in launching another high-end device series. Yep, the Huawei sub-brand launched the Honor 20 family last month, and it’s packing plenty of features.

The Honor 20 and Honor 20 Pro share several significant features, including a Kirin 980 processor, 6.26-inch LCD screen (full HD+) with punch-hole cutout, 32MP selfie camera, 22.5 watt fast charging, and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.

The Honor 20 series offers several flagship-level features, and an interesting quad-camera setup.

Honor’s latest phones also share a quad rear camera setup, with the two phones sharing a 48MP main camera, 2MP macro camera, and 16MP ultra-wide snapper. But the Honor 20 Pro’s fourth camera is an 8MP 3x telephoto shooter, while the standard Honor 20 packs a 2MP depth sensor as its fourth snapper.

Other reasons to get the Pro model include a 4,000mAh battery (the Honor 20 has a 3,750mAh pack), and more RAM and storage (8GB/256GB versus 6GB/128GB). The Honor 20 series doesn’t offer a microSD card slot, but you will find dual nano SIM support here.

9. Oppo Reno 10x Zoom Edition

Who says you have to buy a Huawei phone if you want great zoom capabilities? Certainly not Oppo, thanks to its Reno 10x Zoom Edition device. Oppo’s flagship offers a 13MP 5x zoom periscope camera, using a combo of hardware and software to deliver 10x zoom. The periscope camera is also joined by a 48MP main shooter and an 8MP ultra-wide snapper.

Switch to the front and you won’t see a selfie camera at first, because the Oppo Reno 10X Zoom Edition uses a “shark fin” pop-up housing for the 16MP front-facing snapper. This ensures that the 6.6-inch AMOLED screen (full HD+ with in-display fingerprint sensor) is indeed a full-screen design.

The Reno 10x Zoom Edition offers more than some impressive camera specs though. You’ve also got a Snapdragon 855 processor, 6GB to 8GB of RAM, 128GB or 256GB of storage, and a 4,065mAh battery with 20 watt charging. The Oppo flagship offers dual SIM support via a hybrid SIM slot, so you’ll have to forego a microSD card if you really need a second SIM.

10. Sony Xperia 1

Sony has offered dual SIM phones for a long time now, and its 2019 flagship is no exception. The Xperia 1 offers a hybrid SIM slot in some markets (allowing you to add a microSD card or second SIM), but you’ll need to check with your retailer to make sure that this variant is available in your market.

Opt for the Xperia 1 and you’ll also get a Snapdragon 855 processor, 6GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, a 6.5-inch 4K HDR OLED screen (21:9), and a 3,330mAh battery. The flagship also touts a triple rear camera setup (12MP, 12MP telephoto, and 12MP ultra wide), 8MP selfie camera, and a water-resistant design.

The Sony Xperia 1 isn’t cheap, coming in at roughly $950 online. But it’s certainly a big improvement over previous flagships from the company.
